Privacy Policy
Medical Advertising Agency (“MAA,” “we,” “us”) builds and markets websites for medical practices. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our day-to-day work, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you text us, call, email, or submit a form, we collect what you choose to share — typically your name, practice, email address, phone number, and the details of what you are trying to accomplish.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours logs basic technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the page that referred you. We use this to keep the site secure and to understand which content is useful.
Cookies and analytics. We use a small number of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How we use information
We use the information you give us to respond to your inquiry, scope and deliver our services, send you material you asked for (such as a market report), and keep records of our engagements.
We use automatically collected data to operate, secure, and improve the website and to measure the performance of the content and campaigns we publish.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a limited set of trusted vendors to run our business — for example website hosting, email, analytics, scheduling, and video hosting. They process information only to perform services for us and are bound to protect it.
When we run advertising or marketing for a client, we may use platforms such as Google and Meta. Those platforms have their own privacy policies that govern data they collect directly.
Protected health information
Because we work with medical practices, our work can involve protected health information (PHI). When it does, we sign a Business Associate Agreement and handle that information under HIPAA. See our HIPAA & Business Associate page for details.
This website is not intended for the submission of patient health information. Please do not send PHI or medical details through our contact forms.
Data retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes, then dispose of it securely.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR. We honor those rights; just reach out and we will help.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
